SCRUB DADDY BBQ TOOLS
Mr. Bar-B-Q partnered with Scrub Daddy to create a line of cleaning accessories for grills. I designed packaging for exclusive Scrub Daddy items sold at Home Depot, as well as co-branded products like the steam clean grill and griddle brushes. Throughout the process, I worked directly with the Scrub Daddy design team for approvals and reviews, ensuring all designs met brand standards. My designs highlight the product's functionality and its most popular uses. Additionally, I developed POP displays that showcase extra messaging and photography to explain how the products work and how the brands collaborate. What began with a single grill brush design has now grown into a line of over 20 products, available in major retailers worldwide.
packaging refresh
Mr. Bar-B-Q celebrated 50 years of service in 2022, which sparked the inspiration of a new logo design to honor the original 1972 logo. Our primary packaging design has guided the brand for the past 15+ years and was in desperate need of a refresh with our new logo. I’ve designed a fresh, sophisticated look for our new packaging, that portrays our eco friendly mission as we move into 2024. We were looking to elevate the brand to compete with higher end companies such as Williams Sonoma, who cater to a wealthier demographic. Along with the new packaging, we have updated our brand colors across our entire product line. This clean and organic design will help the brand stand out against the competitors as well as push our sustainability message as we move into bigger and better markets, focusing on much more than just tools for the barbecue.
griddle Accessory packaging
With the rise in popularity of griddling, the Razor Griddle has become a staple in many homes. With the high demand, we have designed a line of 40+ useful griddle accessories. The packaging was designed with consideration of the target audience and the commercial-grade quality in mind. From concept to completion, I’ve managed all processes from design and placement of packaging, to coordinating and directing photoshoots, reviewing and approving print proofs and pre-production samples as well as creating marketing presentations and infographics to generate interest to retailers and consumers.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Keeping up with the times and exploring new ways to increase revenue and decrease our carbon footprint on the planet, I collaborated with the product development team to create a sustainable line of products with packaging made of 100% recyclable materials. After extensive research and working with our manufacturers in China, we developed and entire line of products dedicated to bettering the planet by using only recycled plastic in our materials and plastic free packaging made of corrugate and printed with soy inks. The goal of this line was to get on board with working together to make a more sustainable future as well as target a new demographic. This clean, sophisticated look was developed to attract the consumer by combining kraft elements, which are directly correlated with eco-friendly goods, and green accents to establish the mood of a greener future.
PRIVATE LABEL packaging
As a Packaging Designer at Mr.Bar-B-Q, I am responsible for designing private label packaging for numerous retailers across the globe. Oversee and manage the production processes from start to finish on each project, coordinate and plan photoshoots for proprietary photography specific to each private label brand and communicating with retailers to finalize artwork and provide milestone updates to ensure accuracy and provide status updates.
